Sync
Breveto uses iCloud to sync your files across all your devices. In Breveto's general settings, you can see the sync status of your files.
Here's some common reasons why sync might not be working.
- You must be signed into the same Apple Account on each device you want to sync.
- Make sure iCloud is turned on in your device settings.
- Make sure iCloud is turned on for Breveto in your device settings.
- Make sure you have a working internet connection.
- Make sure your iCloud storage is not full.
- Restart your devices.
- Sometimes iCloud sync can be slow, for example if your just installed Breveto on a new device, have a slow internet connection, or if you imported a lot of files at once. Leaving Breveto open for a while might help it catch up and finish syncing.
- In rare cases iCloud might have an outage. You can check the status of iCloud here.
If you're still having issues, you can contact us and we'll do our best to help!
Before contacting us
Please make sure you've tried all the steps above.
Since Apple controls iCloud, we have a somewhat limited ability to help with certain sync issues. If you're also having trouble syncing other apps, or files in iCloud Drive, please contact Apple Support directly.
We can never view or access your files.
Your files only exist locally on your devices and in iCloud.
Apple automatically encrypts your files once they leave your device and when they are stored on Apple's servers. We can never see them, and you don't need to create an account with us. Plus, you get the added piece of mind that your files are always backed up.
You can learn more about iCloud security and privacy here.
You can also read our privacy policy here.
Your files are stored locally on your devices in a SQLite database in Breveto's application support folder, and synced through iCloud.
We highly discourage directly moving, backing up, or modifying the database file. If you'd like like to backup your files you can enable automatic backups in Breveto's settings.
Breveto uses CloudKit to sync your files, which is different from iCloud Drive.
While both use iCloud, CloudKit is specifically designed for app data and provides much better performance for what Breveto does. This means you won't be able to directly view or access your Breveto files through iCloud Drive or the Files app.
Your files are still safely stored in iCloud, and you can access them in Breveto at any time.

Since the app requires ongoing updates and improvements, a one-time purchase isn’t available. Breveto is built by a small business, and your support helps us keep making Breveto better for everyone!
If you purchased Breveto Pro on the App Store, you can request a refund from Apple. Due to App Store policies, developers are not allowed to issue refunds directly and we do not have access to payment information.
